Tightening Evangeline's Limbs and Stringing her...

Here's a little how to on stringing a doll's neck (when they have zip-ties) and tightening their limbs

First cut off the zip tie:

Take out the stuffing:

You'll need a hair tie (for the limb tightening)

Wrap it around under the metal piece on the elastic limb tie

Keep wrapping around till you can't any more (do the last 2 steps for all 4 limbs)

Re-stuff the doll, this is tough but remember it can ALL fit back in

Use a icing spreader or wooden spoon to push the stuffing down

No it's not a knife just an icing spreader :)

Make sure you get it evenly in the shoulders 

Now for the stringing you need a bobby pin:

Tie some candle wick on the bobby pin (you can get wick at any craft store) 

String it through the neck area:

All the way through

Put the head on

Cut wick strings and tie real tight:

Now Evangeline can stand on her own again:

Elsie's Outdoor Adventure

I took my lovely doll Elsie Dinsmore (A life of faith) outside for some photos. It's kinda bleak outdoors but the weather is lovely so I thought I'd get some in. She's sporting her school outfit.

JLY 41

Okay a quick update on #41 I'm still working on her personality profile... (and the rest of my dolls for that matter) but her name is Aria Grace and she's going to be kinda of like me, into theatre and music acting etc. She loves Phantom of the Opera and Emma by Jane Austen. I can't wait till she comes (in december)!!

Aria means air, but is also a musical term for operatic song.

Grace means God's Grace. And without the grace of God, we wouldn't be here.

New Doll: JLY 41

I'm getting a new doll. And it's probably going to be my last american girl doll. It's my first JLY or MAG! So I'm super excited cause she'll be the special non-historical.

Well I'm getting JLY #41!!!!

I'm so excited! I can't wait to take pictures of my doll. And decide who she is, her name, interests, stories etc. ! It's going to be fun!

Going into this holiday season; we should all remember what this really is about, whom it is about and always to give thanks to Him for His many blessings.

Remember especially this thanksgiving why the pilgrims crossed the pond in the first place, William Bradford the Governor of Plymouth said:

"Last and not least, they cherished a great hope and inward zeal of laying good foundations, or at least making some ways toward it, for the propagation and advance of the gospel of the kingdom of Christ in the remote parts of the world, even though they should be but stepping stones to others in the performance of so great a work."

This is the reason why they landed here, to promote the Kingdom of Christ.

Remember why thanksgiving was founded
